As we move into our new London headquarters and workshop, we're expanding our team to scale the development, manufacturing and deployment of our robotics, sensing and AI systems. The role

e-nano ROBOTICS is looking for a Manufacturing & Scale-up Lead to shape how we industrialise and scale robotics and sensing products.

This is not a traditional factory-management role. We are looking for someone who can combine manufacturing depth, startup pragmatism and consulting-style structured problem solving: rapidly understand an imperfect situation, define what matters, build the right processes and suppliers, and then help implement them.

You will work with the founders and engineering team to create the manufacturing strategy, operating model and supply-chain foundations required to move from low-volume engineering builds toward repeatable production.

Key responsibilities

• Define the manufacturing and production strategy for current and future products.
• Translate engineering prototypes into scalable manufacturing plans.
• Own make-versus-buy, supplier, subcontractor and internal-capability strategies, with accountability for supply-chain direction and technical sourcing decisions.
• Establish production workflows, build stages, quality gates and traceability.
• Define production KPIs covering cost, quality, delivery, throughput, WIP and inventory.
• Develop BOM-control, ECO/change-control and configuration-management processes.
• Improve DFM/DFA with mechanical, electronics and robotics engineers.
• Lead supplier selection and qualification, supplier quality, technical sourcing approvals and supply-chain resilience in collaboration with engineering.
• Model unit economics, production capacity, labour requirements and capital needs.
• Identify manufacturing bottlenecks and prioritise automation appropriately.
• Design practical quality systems suitable for a growing robotics company.
• Support CE/UKCA, documentation and productisation activities where relevant.
